“Living Life with the Early Church”

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new opportunity to learn more about the early church together.  William Cooper Bailey MA has researched the early life and practice of the church as part of a degree at Cambridge University Theological Federation and the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies, and has agreed to come and deliver a lecture series entitled “Living Life with the Early Church”.

WHERE AND WHEN

The course of lectures will run on six consecutive Tuesday evenings commencing 19th May at 7.30pm-8.30pm in St John’s Church Hall.  The lecture will last around 40 minutes, and end with an opportunity for questions and a short service of Compline.  There is no charge to attend these lectures.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT

These few evenings will provide a simple introduction to the subject, and assume no prior knowledge.  Although designed as a taster, if there are any gluttons for punishment, reading lists and other information can be provided privately afterwards.  As always refreshments will be provided, between 7.00pm-7.30pm. If you can’t make all the dates please feel free to just come to as many as you can.
